J. David Vineyard is the heart of R|A Family Wines and the foundation for everything we do. Named for Rob’s father, it carries deep personal meaning and reflects the Andrews family’s connection to farming, family, and the land. More than a source of fruit, the vineyard is the center of the project and the starting point for the vision behind the wine.
Set within a distinct pocket of The Rocks District near Milton-Freewater in the Walla Walla Valley AVA, J. David Vineyard was built with the intention to express a singular place. Dense exposed cobble, radiant heat, and the natural protection of neighboring apple orchards shape the character of the site, while hands-on farming and long-term decisions in the vineyard guide the style each year. It is a true estate project, rooted in site expression and led by the belief that the vineyard should always come first.
