Stone Pyre was planted in 2021 after laying fallow for 4 years after the apples were removed.
Our first harvest was 2023. It is planted to Syrah, Mourvedre, Grenache, and Barbera, with room to expand where the land is still fallow. What to plant in the fallow land has yet to be decided, but the first crop was amazing for the typicity and intensity of the fruit.
Brian Zawada took all of the Syrah, Mourvedre, and Grenache last year. And the Barbera is equally as impressive.
